Who We Are:

This project is 100% funded by national capital. The main objective of the Miranda Ovares family is to share the natural beauty that their property –dedicated to milk cattle production– with their guests. The family offers a great opportunity to share with a Costa Rican family in this tropical paradise.

In this farm-property with a privileged location, the family create Miradas Arenal Hotel & Hot Springs with a first phase of 11 Bungalows, a pool area, a pop restaurant, hot springs, exuberant gardens, fruit trees and regular trees (which attract a wide variety of bird species). About Our Hotsprings

Hotsprings

Some History

At age 17, Roberto Miranda (the father of the family) fished on the unrestrained rapids of the Arenal River when a bout of hot spring water ran over his body. Seven years later, alongside Estrella Ovares, he started a life of work and growth. As a country laborer, Roberto bought a piece of land from his father. He waited patiently, for 31 years, until on December 23 rd , 2017, the same hot spring water that ran over his body back in 1981 went all the way up the canyon of the Arenal River (at 840 ft deep) so that it could reach the pools of the Hotel Miradas Arenal.

Roberto and Estrella enjoy these waters today from the comfort of the hotel. They are proud to share both the story of their work and effort to get to where they are now, as well as the hot springs with all their guests. Thus, this achievement has been fundamental to the growth of the Miranda Ovares family, which is taking advantage of the environment in a sustainable way appropriate for the ecological balance of their surroundings and the use of the responsible use of the resources that Pachamama (Mother Nature) has to offer.

Lounge

Ta Urá

Ta Urá is the name of the Bar and Pool area which is surrounded by exuberant tropical gardens. Ta Urá is a word from the Maleku language (indigenous of Costa Rica), and it means: “I’m thirsty”.

This area opens from 11:00 am to 09:00 pm. Enjoy a refreshing Costa Rican tropical cocktail with pool-side dishes to the best Ta Úra style. You can also enjoy the pool’s Happy Hour from 05:00 pm to 07:00 pm during which we have a 2x1 special for select cocktails.
